The Met now have a new division that basically sieze property from the criminal fraternity if it is proved the goods where obtained as a result of ill gotten gain.

To fund the said division, roughly 5% of the cost of the siezed goods is pumped back into the division (Self Funding)

Well they siezed a brand new Audi R8 recently and have been allowed to use the vehicle within the squad, that was until it started to make strange noises and stopped.
One of the drivers had filled it will Diesel, its now back at Audi with an estimate of circa £5k to sort.His excuse they normally use 530d BMW's.

Made me laugh.
