Any eye specialists?
Hi,
I had a check up last night because my contact lense on my left eye was completely blurry. I thought that I had been sent a wrong prescription.
However, after a thorough check up it has transpired that I have a hole in my cornea, the particular layer is the endothelium.
Now I am concerned as you would be, but I dont really understand what this entails.
The optician was concerned as this isnt usual for someone my age (27) and said that this normally occurs in people around 60 years+
Does anyone have any information on this? Anyone experienced this?
Can this be corrected through laser surgery if this gets worse?
As it stands I am no longer allowed to wear contacts (I have had contact lenses for about 2 years and only wear them on weekends). I dont have this blurring when I am wearing my glasses.
I had my last check up 12 months ago, so this has happened since then. I have another check up in 2 weeks to see if this has progressed any further.
Any information would be welcomed.
Thanks
Fitz
