My brother and I are taking our other halves down to Exmouth this weekend and staying in a caravan at Devon Cliffs.
Whats worth seeing or visiting down that way?
Any decent restaurants worth trying out?
Cheers,
The Hoff

Maybe a little too far but The New Angel in Dartmouth is very good.
The New Angel - AA Restaurant of the year 2005, owned and managed by John Burton Race in Dartmouth, Devon.

Was just about to suggest The New Angel. Jamie's 15 over at Watergate near Newquay too. The Slipway in Port Isaac is also a favourite for seafood, but most pay the higher prices for Stein's in Padstow.

If you want to go out for the day, the choice is either Westbound towards Dartmoor or Eastbound to Sidmouth. Sidmouth is worth a wander round, the pasties in Trumps deli in the centre are really good, and the whole place has an interesting and very old-fashioned feel to it.
If you go up to Exeter and then take the A38 west you'll get lots of scenery, and can go up onto Dartmoor easily (come off at the Ashburton junction and follow the road up to Dartmeet). If the weather is bad you could stay on the A38 to the Buckfastleigh junction and then go down to Dartmouth for a browse around. On the way is the Dartington centre, which has some posh retail opportunities.
I just can't think of anything in Exmouth itself...
Having read the original post I'm thinking that you are on the road anyway, so this is a waste of space...
