Man suspended from work....
And investigated by his employers at Manchester Airport for displaying a picture of Jesus on the wall of his staff rest room.
A muslim colleague complained.
Hang on but what the **** is going on in this country?

The mind boggles. England is traditionally a Christian country. You want to live hear, deal with it
Personally I am not religious, and find a lot of the religious portrayals rather morbid to say the least. Recently I went to a wedding, and all around me in the church were statues/pictures of a man (Jesus), dead, on a cross. Hardly a nice pleasant setting in my eyes. Now I do not want to kick off a big debate with that point, its just how I see it. I deal with it, I choose to live here.

Firstly, isnt Heathrow in London and not Manchester
Secondly, Its pretty obvious that there are underlying issues here. Something has been said before the complaint, the picture is put up, someone compains, someone gets suspended, nothing can be proven that picture was put up in provocation and the bloke is reinstated.
Nothing to see here folkes
Thats my guess anyway.

Media sheep out and about again i see.
Whats this country coming to when grown adults read a news article and cant see anything beyond whats written. I'd rather live next door to Afghan nut case than a English retard that needs to be spoon fed their information.
Sounds to me like the bloke was a tool and the picture was the icing on the cake. Perhaps the culmination of a series of "I'm a ****" like acts.

Don't normally get involved in this stuff (as all religion is evil and about as pointless as a chocolate teapot in the 21st century)
but
As Islam recognises Christ as a prophet - what exactly was the problem with the picture?

Nothing - he was suspended for being a tool, not the picture.

These signify the steps towards the crucifixion of Jesus and as you might imagine have a special significance to those who attend that church. Special prayers are said at each station on occasions to commemorate the supreme sacrifice made by Jesus for the sake of the peoples of the world. Despite the fact that you probably would not accept that, maybe you can understand why those pictures and statues are important to those who do believe in Christianity.
Rather than intending to be morbid, it is as much a reminder of what He did in the same way that we have war memorials to those who sacrificed their lives in the world wars in order to maintain our freedom.

I don't think that any 'holy' facial depictions are allowed within Islam, certainly not Mohammed or Allah. Although Christ the man is portrayed in Christian art, God wasn't allowed to be for many centuries.

Mohammed is considered THE Prohet, but Christ is also regarded as a prophet.
