...putting together a presentation on company car driver ergonomics in a coupla weeks time. Anyone an expert or can give me some pointers/links?

Hi Rich,

Have you tried the Transport Research Labs ? They show up on Tomorrows World etc. now and then talking about car seats, steering wheel positions etc.

No idea how to contact them, but I know they have some labs near Bracknell (Crowthorne I think) as I was part of a trial there once on drink driving (they got you pished then made you drive a simulator).

WhatCar? test 40 cars for comfort in the Jan issue. Tests were conducted by The Institute of Consumer Ergonomics.

I remember Vauxhall spending large wads on this subject. They were very keen to share the information and literature. Might be worth a call.

Phoning McLaren Cars may be worth a bash... theres a HUGE chapter in 'Driving Ambition' about ergonomics and how they are compromised in most cars compared to the Macca.
