Default eBay Vendor Refusing to Sell...

As title: what can I do? She only lives a couple of miles away and has now stated that 'we dont do collections'. She seemed keen for me to pay immediately by PayPal, which I havent done. I have now received an arsey message:

"Hi i dont think we can trade on the items,so i am going to relist both items, please do not bid on the items again thankyou hannah.ps if you have tried to contact me outside of ebay messages i wont have recieved them"

These items only ended three days ago!

I thought the ebay bidding system constituted a legally binding contract.

Seems she doesn't want you going round to her address - reasonable request.

God damn, I agree with PSL !!

Simon, whats the link to the item? Did it offer local collection as a delivery option ?

I am usually pretty keen for people to pay me too, especially given the number of scammers and time wasters out there.

Pete: Im a decent middle-class boy!

I havent insisted on collecting but her trying to back out after I didnt immediately pay has me wondering what is amiss.

She only offered to deliver it last night, the 'relisting' message came today at noon!

Ive posted here because I cant see how to complain to eBay, they have a link for non-payers and non-delivery but nothing else (that I can see).....

Carl; what if the she negs me?

Ive not had the chance! Last night she wanted to post it and this morning she has decided not to sell to me at all. The item only ended three days ago and I contacted her immediately.

If something smells fishy it probably is. Just be sure to bid again when she re-lists!

I think it's more likely she's trying to bump up her profit margin with the postage costs.

Exactly. She has probably been messed about plenty before too, hence the immediate payment required.

Dont welcome him you will make him feel wanted and missed

Yup, Simon, what is the item, do you have a link to her auction or atleast the item number so we can look it up.

I can understand her not wanting to have people round, or even deliver in person, the whole lone female, male buyer thing.
But I cant quite work out how and why she is being "demanding"

There are ways and means of reporting her via Ebay for sure. I have done it before when someone refused to sell the item at the won price.

having the same issue with someone who sold me a TV. They apparantly set a reserve, only eBay did not accept it. They also did nothing to correct the issue during the entire period of the listing.

I won their TV for 99p, only they don't seem to want to actually let me collect it *******s

Not worth the effort tbh, I will get a better one for more. Perhaps this time I will set my sights higher and bid up to £2 for a higher quality service

I won something on Ebay from a seller who lived about a mile from me

She refused to sell me the item as it didnt go for what she wanted, she told me the item had been binned as it had developed an electrical fault yada yada yada

She was clearly blagging thinking I would bugger off, even suggested we exchanged good feedback to each other

I filed a complaing with ebay, and told her that too, as it was a legal binding contract etc

Ebay said sorry but unfortunatly they cannot force someone to sell goods

A few weeks later the same item appeared on ebay again, but this time with a buy it now price, so I contacted the seller and ebay, they did nothing about it, except she told me she had bought the item again as she needed it for something, then had to sell again, I left her proper neg feedback too

Id like to but I cant see how. There wasnt a reserve and Ive 'paid' £30ea for a pair of Omega watch boxes (one blue leather and a current wooden type). Its not a fantastic price, but its reasonable for both of us.

Probably a bit wary of customers who buy this kinda stuff

May well be as simple as not having business insurance to allow customers to the home. It sounds like had you paid via PayPal you'd have got the item. So any theory of being relisted due to not reaching the amount she wanted seem far fetched to me.

Feedback of 7 and business insurance on Kimberworth Park Estate dont all tally, as far as I am concerned...

Ive looked at the dispute console but I cant see how to raise a 'vendor refuses to sell' issue?
