Default Would you pay £155k for a toilet?

OK, not quite the case but...

Check out this place on the market, just up the road from me.

http://www.findaproperty.com/display...&agentid=08625

50 yards up the road is an ambulance station.
behind it is a Kingdom Hall thingy
20 yards to the left is a LARGE pub, and another about 100 yards up from it.
late night chipshop and kebab shops very locally
on the main drag of the A205 South Circular road.

BUT....

Its SMACK BANG opposite Forest Hill station.. 8-12 mins from London Bridge.

It's in one of the cheapest areas of London too.

It would be well over double the asking price if in a more desirable area.

Sounds ideal to me. 2 pubs within stumbling distance complete with food and if your drink too much the ambulance station is nearby

Got to love the descriptions from estate agents eh.

FP, prices are rising madly round SE23, can honestly say not one of the cheapest areas anymore.
2 bed flats are 280-300k + for a decent one.

155k is perfect for someone only interested in commuting for a couple of years, but no parking, no privacy etc.

"unique converted washroom"

Only in London would people be prepared to pay ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS for a converted toilet the size of a shoebox. Go for it I say

A Garage attached to a house in Chelsea went for £35k a few years back. Sold as "secure parking in a prestige area"

It sold for over that the first time round.
There is another one just round the corner right next to the railway lines, at the end of the platform (no access obviously lol)

Went past the place this morning, traffic was stuck due to road works, what a lovely sound and sight to wake to
