Lorry driver fined £260 for smoking and flicking his cigarette out of his cab. Nice to hear that such an offence is substantially more important than driving while banned.

Compared to the driver who was banned for 25 years, and has 211 recorded traffic offences against his name was fined only £100 and banned for another 10 years when they caught him on the road once again...

I agree, smoking has nothing to do with driving. But the fine for smoking well exceeds the fine for the motorist who has been repeatedly banned.

Well... how would you suggest anti-smoking rules are enforced then?

Whoever drives that lorry next is going to have to spend hours subjected to the smell of stale cigarette smoke, which is f**king disgusting. It persists for days and gets into everything, hence the need for the no-smoking rule to apply at all times.
