I'm trying to buy a evo 6 wrc car 1:18 scale for christmas for my girlfriend (don't worry, im in the preccess of converting her to scoobies lol ), and to be frank its like trying to get hold of rocking horse poo.

anyone know any good model shops either in the nottingham area or online?

Not sure about where to buy but you really want to be looking at Autoart, they're really good models

If you're lucky, they may have one in that model place in Broadmarsh. Might be worth a look in there, especially as it' about as local as you can get. Or possibly try Gee Dees in Hockley.

If she's not bothered too much about scale (and is a bit of a dab hand with the glue and paint), you may still be able to get the 1/24 Tamiya kit as well.

I'd suggest Gee Dee on Heathcote Street too. If they don't do the die cast, you might be able to buy her a Tamiya kit, some glue and paint....

Other option is to wait until after Christmas and take her down to the Autosport show. Usually plenty of die casts on sale there. Just don't buy her the real thing by mistake...

GT Models, above, have got an Evo 7 showing on their site - might be worth giving them a call.

AUTOart 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VII WRC Car No.8 A McRae - Rally Monte Carlo. in Red. P/C: : GT Models

P.S. I've used GT Models lots of times, they are pretty good.
