Ever regret selling your 1st car?
My first car is a Honda Civic which is tastefully modified. However I'm thinking of selling it as I haven't used it much the past year since I find my Scooby comfortable and reliable (although it drinks more!).
I could do with some extra money, but I think I would regret selling her.
Any wisdom from past experiences?

kind of. mine was a 1980 suzuki LJ80 (800cc 4x4). underpowered, uncomfortable and generally a bit crappy. i brushed it with MOD green paint but never really did much more than that (apart from a crappy stereo upgrade) as it used to cost so much to fix the problems each time the MOT came round.
having said all that, it would have made a great project with a bigger engine and i wouldn't have worried too much about the odd scrape or car park ding!
EHW418W in case it's still out there!! head gasket went, i fixed it (badly) and then it caught fire. last seen towing a speedboat in southend with a newly fitted bedford roller skate van engine fitted (no idea why i didn't of that at the time - d'oh!)

Hell no, my first car was mum's old Fiat Panda - 900cc and 45bhp, a truly hateful machine, but marginally preferable to getting the bus everywhere.
The only car I really regret selling was my 1st scooby, which I'd had from new and customised to my ideal spec. Other cars I've been quite unemotional about, or in some cases, been glad to see the back of.

No regrets for mine!
That mini had more plates than a china shop
Even got a scrappy to tow it away for a £10, after I'd stripped it of the LCB, MG metro inlet manifold, wolfrace alloys etc
In fact if I look hard enough I still think there are a few bits in my parents garage

Mine to give away
Couldn't stay to watch me cry
You didn't have the time
So I softly slip away...

Absolutely not. It was an ancient Austin 1100- the bodywork was held together by the paint. It eventually collapsed in a pile of rust but even then some one gave me £50 for it!

VW Beetle bought when I was 15, spent 2 years stripping it and rebuilding it. Still miss it to this day and that was over 15 years ago....

Me too all though mine was more of maroon/rust colour, I hated it with a passion, twas only 3 year old when I got it, it had bubbles of rust everywhere, rarely started, went through more oil than petrol and the interior mirror always fell off
Still I only kept it for 6 months then traded it for a 1.3 Astra estate, that was a fantastic car, automatic choke and everything!

My Dad still has mine, a refurbushed (at the time) VW Beetle 1303S. It saved my life when at 17 I got hit by an articulated lorry as the round bonnet meant the truck caught it and pushed the car back instead of a flat bonnet car being driven straight over and sucked underneath, according to the police accident investigators. Its sitting garaged somewhere after my younger sister abused it something chronic and turned it into an old heap

I wrote my first two cars off, but that's what you get for trying to make 998cc Metros go around corners quickly. The Halfords add-on tail-pipe and MG steering wheel (pilfered from the local scrappies) offered up simply too much added go, and proved a step too far for the young JT!
I really regret selling my gen 4 h22a Prelude. Bought it in near mint condition for £2.5k and sold it 12 months later for the same (having w4anked away about £2k on mods). Looked at having it super charged, changed my mind and bought a UK Impreza.
My old Prelude; reliable with a brilliant engine, great interior, sensible running costs and IMHO good looks. I loved that bladdy car!

Don't regret selling my first car but I made a big mistake selling my Impreza.
Now its gone, I'm moving on but had I known how bad I'd feel with it gone it would still be here now.

My first car was a 10 year old Mk2 Escort van, it got abused like **** for a year, and taught me everything I needed to know about oversteer
I never sold it though, it just fell apart from all the abuse that was meted out to it
I do regret lending my second car to my best mate though, it was a mint 71 1200 VW beetle with a 1641 engine and a big carb We decided to swap cars for a laugh one night and have a race, he lost mine on a bend, stuck it through a hedgerow with a 6' drop on the other side
I think that engine was jinxed though, I sold it to a mate who then wrote his car off, he then sold it to another guy who ended up crashing thew camper he fitted it in
