Surprised the perky nips got through censorship. 7 of 9 please.
The show was just cr@p. Considering this is based BK (before Kirk ), how come the klingons are more bodily advanced. The Enterprise ship design is more advanced than Kirks. Poor old Sulu had a slider to engage warp, these lot just push a button. Shan't be bothering anymore.

I can't wait for more 'decontamination' scenes!
She - 'Does it fit in to the plot'
Director/Writer - 'Oh God yes it does, critical. Um, BTW here is what we would like you to wear.'
In fact if this runs the usual 7 series (American standard length these days) then she'll have to go through Pon Farr!! Fantastic... there won't be a t-shirt small or tight enough!
Though the girls were catered for to old Scott wondering around in his undies <shudder>.
<Stooping because I am looking far to much like a complete Trekkie>

Only blokes go through Pon Farr - sorry to disappoint.
how come they already had a transporter, but half way through the show they come up with phasers?! I can't believe they invented the heisenberg compensator before a phaser (with stun and kill!!!!).
Show was too slow too.
Shower scene made up for ALL of it though.

Wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be shower scene was not needed really (not complaining). Pretend there has never been any Star Trek before and then make your mind up! The show has possibilites, although I wish Deep Space 9 was still running as I think that was the best of the lot. And it had Dax

I thought it was a fairly promising start - I assume the usual 1 hr programs from now on will be quicker moving anyway.
The shower/decontamination scene was great - was quite surprised it went on so long with so many 'nibblet' shots !
I dont think you can criticise it for having better sets that the original Star Trek - they were hardly going to have the wobbly walls and rubbish buttons/levers etc. I thought attention to details was good - like having to press buttons to open doors !

Bummer about the Pn Farr bit though!
Guess my Trekkie status has slipped right down now.
I enjoyed the show but then living through so many spin-oofs I tend to suspend disbelif a bit and ignore certain thngs that don't get carried over.
The sets are good in the fact that ship is far more basic than the later Enterprises. Even Kirk's ship had automatically opening doors. Pressing buttons for comms and the hand held communicators where nice.
Give it a chance to bed down... it could become very interesting.
BTW one thing I do hate is the theme tune... just do some music and get over with quickly!

It was OK I suppose.
It was just like a manufactured TV show, designed to appeal to certain demographic groups
Token babe - Check
Fly past in a shuttle - Check
Funny forehead Aliens - Check
Neelix Clone - Check
Token UK based chief engineer - Check
Female language specialist - Check
Anyone else kept thinking of Galaxy Quest, esp when the black guy took the ship out of space dock.
They could'nt make the bad guys to be from thier present, so they had to make him come 'from the future'
Star Trek is definatley past it. I'll go back to watching my B5 tapes

Oi Mattel
If you were a true "trekker" you wouldn't call yourself a "trekkie" lol!!!
Thought it was ok and looks like it could become interesting. Fantastic shower scene - try getting away with that in TOS
Deep Space Nine was garbage when it started and a couple of series later when they got the Defiant and the Dominion popped up it defo became one of the best. Voyager purely for the Borg bits TNG for setting the scene and paving the way for DS9, VOY and ENT

Well I started watching TOS and was hooked at that point. I thought Trekker only referred to those that discovered it later in life!
Congrats on the stealth 1k BTW!

Neil,
Glad to know I wasn't the only one that was smiling at the Galaxy Quest cross over!
Shame everything is so much the same with the composition of the crew. Must be said they have learnt their mistake from VOY by putting the babe in the series early this time!

Ah, I never thought that it could be an effect of higher warp speeds applies stress to the cotton themes!
That would explain so much form TOS!

Arggggh, the theme music is cheese-tastic mate! Get shot of, stat...
Also, I can't believe that 30 odd years on, people are complaining about the fact that everything looks so much more advanced than in the original trek. You really want a steering wheel and computer consoles comprised of melamine????? Thought not....
I did have severe doubts about going back in time from the current treks, but reckon that this will actually be pretty good now...
Nibblets, Nibblets, Nibblets!
Nick
P.S. nibblets
