Any plane spotting petrol heads out there?

Just found out the date for a nice Typhoon vs. Bugatti Veyron drag race, with Hamster at the wheel

Its at RAF Coningsby, around 30 miles from Lincoln and is scheduled to take place next Wednesday, they've set Thursday aside as an overrun day in case the weather isn't right.

The Top Gear team will be there and as said Hamster is driving!

the Typhoon at Dartmouth was setting off the car alarms! Noisest aircraft I have ever heard. Good hooligan display though.

Bugatti Veyron v. Typhoon

Hamster arrives at 09:00 by helicopter then...

12:00 - 1st run

14:30 - 2nd run

16:30 - 3rd run

Its a secret so don't tell anyone

and the Typhoon will be flown by the RAF's display pilot so there may be some cocking about

Whoever does actually manage to make it, please try and take some pics. Just don't risk going to jail to take them though

Knowing Top Gear the result will have been predetermined, and the distances/timing will be setup to make it a close run battle most probably. If its dry, and the race is over a short distance then the car has a chance.
