Young family members in a spot of bother
Wifes young cousins decided to do some exploring in and round the shores of their local village. Didn't notice the tide and got stuck. Massive rescue operation ensues and they have to get air-lifted to safety.
Can't see much from here but the logistics and number of people involved is amazing. They were stuck on a small island in the valley hence the vehicles on the high bridge.
Western Telegraph - the first place to look for news in Haverfordwest and all around Pembrokeshire
Thankfully all safe and well, a stiff talking to and a clip round the ear. The bill will be coming out of thier pocket money.

Glad they're ok! Scary stuff! The desire to explore at that age is massive. I was so lucky as a kid not to end up in danger, the amount of times I went off exploring without my parents knowing where I was going
Does the family get invoiced for the resuce then? What happens if you cant afford to pay? Do they put the kids back on the island

They won't be charged. Think leaving them to learn a lesson isn't a bad idea.
They are good kids but they do get themselves into trouble. Was thinking it must of cost a fortune to get them. My mother actually lives only to the immediate left of the road where the cameraperson is stood. She was watching the whole thing but we only found out today it was "Cheech and Chong"
AFAIK theres a bit of an issue right now in these parts due to the amount of callouts this year even though visitor figures are way down due to the weather. Having said that its probably inexperience and the unpredictable weather thats increased the call outs.
Got to admire the people involved.
