Question Flashing blue lights on house wall?

When I retired last night I went to lock the front door and I saw some blue lights flashing brightly on a house up the road. They were on the front of the house but no sound. No one around though but it was quite late. I am guessing that they were a medical alert and I had half a mind to call 999. But being of the "reserved-mind-your own-business" type I didn't and decided to walk up the road and try and see what was going on. I went back inside to find a mobile and my keys but when I went out again I saw what might have been the back of an ambulance disappearing around the corner.

So what are these things and what are you supposed to do? dl

Could it have been some kind of panic alarm or person in distress?

Maybe to guide the ambulance in?

Our house alarm makes a racket for 15mins with a blue strobe light flashing as well, after 15mins the light continues to show that the alarm has been triggered so it was probably something like that.

Yup, Bakerman has it - that is what it'll be... Standard house alarm that's had its 20mins of siren and is sat there with just the light flashing. They're often blue...
