Injury Specialist wanted - bike accident compensation advice
Hi All,
Last year I was knocked off my bike and was off work for 2-3 months with multiple injuries. All his fault. I came out blameless etc...
I've recovered quite well, but I've now had my second medical evaluation and my solicitor is now taking about a final compensation figure, which I feel is quite insulting (meaning it's far too low), when taking into account my suffering over the last 15 months and beyond.
He tells me any court will not give me anything other than a full and final settlement, and will adhere to the Judicial Studies Board Guidelines as far as a compo figure goes.
What are my options or 'plan of attack'? I know I could change solicitors, but I assume they'll probably say the same thing and quote the same guidelines.
I am in no rush for this, but I want to get a decent figure to offset mine and my otherhalf's suffering/inconvenience.
Thanks
Dave

As KOT has already mentioned get a second opinion from another lawyer.
Remember they get paid when you do so a nice quick solution is better for them but what you want/expect wont really come into their thoughts.

If the Judicial Studies Board Guidelines are anything like the ones used by the criminal injuries board then I am not suprised you're insulted!
Mate of mine was attacked walking home alone having been followed by a gang of cowards who got off the nightbus and followed him. Was off for a long time as a result of multiple facial/head injuries including a skull fracture and got barely any more than some liars get for whiplash
