Question Living in Bristol and surrounding areas

Hi,

I have a firm job offer in Bristol, which, in the short term will mean staying down during the week and returning home weekends, Long term moving down with the family.

Do not mind town or country - prefer the quiet life/country

Looking to rent a flat or a room for 3-6 months to begin with - any suggestions for agents?

Where are the nice places, withing a 30 min drive of Bristol - J2 m32

Where should i avoid?

Clifton and Redland if you want city living and can are earning a decent salary!

Otherwise I would say waterfront which is pretty nice, and rents arent bad as the place is awash with new-build flats so loads available.

If you want to keep the bills down, then Bradley Stoke (basically a massive housing estate) is on the outskirts by the M4/M5 interchange and is cheap to rent and generally clean and tidy.

Avoid:

- St Pauls (unless you are black and a drug dealer, or want to get shot)
- Easton (unless you are Asian)
- Hartcliffe (unless you are a chav and like streets lined with burnt out cars)
