Amazingly enough I was told it would be 3 days for them to get the correct screen to replace my cracked one. I asked (to see how dumb they are) if the car was safe to drive. Yes, it will be fine. WTF? After all their ads saying that a cracked screen will cause your wheels to fall off at 70mph, killing you and everyone in that postcode instantly.

Glad it's not just me! I swear that if there's a crack in my windscreen I will search on Yell for anyone EXCEPT autoglass to fix tha damned thing!
(And while we're on the subject of dodgy advice, I once took my car to Kwik Fit to get it's brakes checked, they needed doing, but they didn't have the parts. I told them I was concerned as I had a long motorway drive ahead and was there anything they'd recommend and they said "Don't worry, you don't need to use your brakes much on motorways"......
)
