What's going on here with these bloody ads, only seen the Thunderbirds ad on tele, but the rest are billboard and on the side of buses, bond's aston and chitty chitty bang bang, however, all of these cars don't need road tax as they're classics, right??
Are the DVLA stupid or what, and guess who's paying for this wrong info, yep "US"

Havent seen the ads, but even if its a classic you still need to fill in the forms and take insurance/MOT to the Post Office and get a disk. Its juts it costs nowt.

What do the ads show....

Question

Getting clamped for not diplaying a tax disc, so if it's a classic
you still have to display a disc, yeh? But shouldn't the clampers know that the car is a classic etc etc etc.

Classics do have to display a current disc - but the cost is zero. I guess the reason is so that there is some kind of check (albeit once a year) that the car has a valid MOT and insurance.

Used to compete in historic rallies - my driver had to get a "free" tax disc for the car from the Post Office in Safeways at 5pm one Saturday otherwise we wouldn't have been able to do a rally that night (well, assuming the scroots would have spotted it anyway)
