Nice hote/b&b in Swanage

I am thinking about a weekend away with some friends in Swanage. Has anyone got any recommendations of nice hotels or b&bs that are not too expensive ? Also pubs that serve nice (proper) food, not microwaved MSG stuff ?

We've been looking recently and the trouble is at the moment that most B&B won't do single night bookings, it's a minimum of 2 and most are charging £30 per person per night. For that sort of money you can start to find hotels with a bar etc. I suspect all the regulations B&Bs now have to conform to mean they are no longer a cheap option.
