What is the road situation around Oxford
Driving darn sarf later on, and normally i come off the M40 at Oxford and join the A34 - has the A34 had any problems due to the recent floods?

As far as I know, you should be OK. My mother drove up from Wales using M4, A34 without issue. Although you're a bit higher up than that.
My old man lives in Eynsham near Oxford and he said last Sunday the A40 was shut but I think it was only for a short while.
