Cool Transformers - The Movie

Just back from seeing Transformers. Apart from being surrounded by pustulating adolescent boys it was quite an experience!

The film is simply jaw dropping in it impact and effects. It is like T2, ET, Independence Day and MIB rolled into one. It has something for everyone like all Speilberg movies and even though he did not direct it, it had several of his trademarks right through the movie.

The pace is non-stop, the action jaw dropping. The humour is a little lightweight and the smaller monsters are more Jar-Jar Binks than the ironic smoking/coffee characters of MIB. There are some moments where the anthropomorphisms can become mawkish however for most men this is soon forgotten as the micro-mini, midriff baring Megan Fox appears glistening on the screen. Many a wet dream will be split over her appearance.

I would give this an 8/10, it would have been 9 but for the grating candyfloss that is totally unnecessary unless you are girl under the age of ten.

A must see, true summer blockbuster.

Frenzy, he does annoy somewhat.

Oh, and just to wind you all up with a spoiler - at least 1 transformer comes back in TF2

I want to buy a Salleen Mustang and build a Barricade replica.

Bumblebee is yes. Jazz is the Pontiac Solstice. Barricade is the Mustang.

Funny how GM sponsor the film and the bad guy is a Ford

It's rated as a 12A, can I take my son (5 years old) to see it. And yes I am aware that 12A means I can take him, but I was wondering about if there is anything too scarey for a 5 year old - ie were there other small boys there?

Nothing scary here. Except maybe a 5 year old sitting still for 2 hours +

He'll love it

Was it just a standars mustang? there are a couple round by me and the one in the film looked a bit meaner! body kit? or was it like a top spec GT vertion that looks more agressive than the standard. very tasty looking none the less.

As per my threat last week....

It was complete and utter garbage. A year of build up to watch what could have rivalled Terminator 2 only manage to rival Whats Up Scooby Do...

Just got back from Die Hard 4.0 which did exactly what it said on the tin

Just got back from watching it, amazing special effects but utterly pants storyline (IMO of course). I was wishing for the end about an hour before it finished.

Barricade is a Salleen Mustang.

Personally, I wish they'd given the film to someone else and not Michael Bay - most of the sh1te bits are down to Bay.

Apparently, there was alot more speech between Megatron and Starscream - showing up there old fued more than the 4 or 5 words that get said. Bay cut it for more human bowlocks.

Brilliant Film, its all about the action & the sound effects for me & this rates a 10/10 for me. I will defo be buying when it comes out on either BR or HD.
Its a strong contender to be the opening film in my new HC.

Fantastic

Cool

Took my son last night and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Good action, some good comedy (I actually laughed when the autobots were trying to hide in the garden, is that sad?), excellent effects and for a an American movie, not too cheesy.

The female interest was hot!

A deffo purchase when it comes out to buy

saw it last night

overall 3/10.

the effects are truely amazing, but thats about it.
cr*p story and cr*p acting.
kids will probably love it but for me i need more than simply effects and cgi in a film.
film seem to drag on at roughy 2.5 hours
