Default Another Ebay liar

I bought some mirror covers off a private seller off Ebay and paid 35.00 + 7.00 P+P.(for a Mini Cooper)They were described as new and never fitted.

The covers came today and on inspection I could clearly see that out of the 5 internal plastic clips, 2 were snapped on one cover and 3 on the other. I then realised how light (weight) the covers were and the postage was actually 2.70.

I have contacted the seller who has stated they were checked prior to packaging and they were all fine (bollox)

These have obviously been damaged when they were removed or when attempting to fit previously and far from "new".

The seller has offered to refund 8.00 to pay for some adhesive which I think is pants. He is obviously well aware of the damage.....I mean would you refund cash if you had sent something in perfect condition?

Bob, postage does include the box and probaly bubble wrap as well but yes the p&p is just another way of making a little more on the sale of the item.

Did you pay via Pay Pal ?

If you paid my paypal open a dispute as scoobynewbie72 says.

"Goods not as described"

Paypal won't even bother to ask questions (no time, no interest), they'll just refund you.

Even if he sent it Royal Mail, the goods are insured for £30 or so anyway, so he should claim on that.

The postage costs are used to cover the cost of packaging, stamps, shoe leather to walk to post office, pen ink, ebay charge for item, paypal charge for money transfer, food eaten to enable energy release to carry item around house and to post office etc... So that's that sorted.
As for the faulty product - Eddscott's right in my experience, paypal will sort if if "products are not as described". Hope you get it sorted.

Better to open up a dispute with E-Bay and be wary if you give him negative feedback he will do the same...so seek advice before doing so. E-bay can be a brilliant place to make a little money or get stuff cheap but like everything you get good and bad. I hope you get it sorted.

Tried to do the "goods not as described thing" but I will have to wait for 10 days first.
This clown will not get away with it.

Angry Feedback

This is so annoying. Does all eBay feedback have to be tit for tat I won an item and then the guy withdrew it. I gave him negative feedback (quite rightly IMO). He then neg'ed me. What for? I was the aggrieved party. As this brings the whole feedback system into disrepute, I would have thought that eBay would police it, or no-one will pay much attention anyway. </rant> Sorry for being OT.

The geezer is now offering a full refund if I "return the goods in the condition they were sent" - what, damaged ?
I just don't trust him now.
