Ever accepted cash to end auction early?
Put the scoob on ebay yesterday and have recieved 6 messages from people asking "how much for cash?" or "give you 2000 cash tomorrow". Sounds a bit dodgy to me as these people are always a long way away. Just wondering if anyone has ever done it?

I put a multi gym thing on Ebay with a minimum bid of £25 (I just wanted rid). I then got 3 messages from 3 different humanoids wanting to buy it now...
I accepted a £25 cash offer from a lad from Winsford who drove over that afternoon and paid up...
It was on buyer collect anyway and I know I could probably have got bids up to £125,000 had I have held out, but I couldnt be bothered.
So it can be done and I have done it. Splendid

I have done it too, I have also asked ebayers would they consider ending auction early for a fixed buy it now price and they have too
Some have refused saying they think they will get far more for their goods than a negotiable price, they must have kicked themselves afterwards when they lost a lot of money of the sale of goods

I was GUTTED ..... so I'm now looking for another load of tat to spunk my money on

i actually put in my add that people are welcome to offer cash and i'll end early! never had anyone from ebay spot it and it avoids scammers winning the auction - last few things i sold all went for cash and auction ended.

if you do sell outside of ebay, take off all the details and just state in the heading 'now sold elsewhere' - ebay will most often delete it and recredit your fees too! ;-)

i put a santa cruz bullit on the bay once for 200 reserve , and i got a message offering me 700 cheque with a phone number , i rang it and gave my addy etc 3 days later the cheque arrived and i banked it , it cleared and i sent the thing away , couple of days later i was being threatened with being reported to ebay , i simply tole em to eff off as the deal was struck off the auction etc they tried to pull a fast one but i had em covered !! if folk are willing to come n pay you the £££ take it off !!

That wont make any difference. If it does bounce after you've taken the money the bank will just expect you to pay it back.

Ticket on slow boat to China booked . I won the ticket on ebay
I just need to go the fellas house in Gillawollabang in the Australian Outback to collect it for cash
Carrying this table football game with no legs all the way there is going to be a pain, but it's worth it for the £125,000 I'm getting from the Huntster
See you in 2012 fella.
