Will tesco exchange without a receipt?
I bought a Daewoo set top box about 6 months ago but now it has stopped working and I can't find the receipt.
Will they exchange it?

receipt has nothing to do with the sale of goods act- its not the law to give one so it cant be the law that you need one!
proof of purchase is needed but not a recipt.

our microwave broke and we had it for 10 months or so called tesco very nicely explained we lost receipt but have box etc they exchanged no problems atall, but they didnt give us a new reciept for the new one so i expect that meant no warrentee, never the less we were very happy with the service
