Thanks in advance

If you have any friends/family in the military, Oakley offers a reasonable discount - ask them to look at the Forces Discount Book, they should know what your talking about. Outside of that, Oakley protects their brand very well - heavily discounted Oakley's are likely to be dodgy in some way.

Giarre usually offer pretty good discounts, I got about 33% off my X-Metal Romeos the year before last. It's a reputable company too, quite a few scoobynetters have used them IIRC.

From the US.
Collar someone going over there ( I would offer but im stuck in the ****hole known as the uk for the next month) or get them shipped over.
With the current exchange rate you will not find cheaper...although import duty might eat into your saving a little if you are unlucky enough to get caught.

Thanks for the replies I'll check the various sites.

Unfortunately I do not know anyone going to the States for a while as they are $210 over there.

This is the cheapest place I have found for the model I am after. Free delivery too
Oakley Sunglasses at Shade Station, Authorised Oakley online store.

Anyone know how the airport duty free shop prices compare?

I've been lucky in the past and had a mate who worked for Oakley, staff discounts are great

I have a Xmetal, Crosshair and Thumps.

I have managed to change a few of my mates to decent sunglasses, basically by letting them try mine on and experiencing the difference.

What other glasses compare to Oakleys? I have only ever had oakleys and cheepos < £10 before that. Are they the best you can get?

sorry for the slight hijack

Thanks for this, just phoned them but the one I'm after is a new model which they do not deal with.

Spoke with Oakley direct who gave me a few contact sites.

Response from one of the official Oakley dealers in the States

Hello Nick

Unfortunately, Oakley products (sunglasses, goggles, lenses or
accessories) are not available for shipping outside of the U.S.
from this website.

In addition, we're currently unable to accept international credit
cards.

Best Regards

For lense quality glass lensed raybans are better as most oakleys are plastic. Mau jims have plastic lenses similar quality to glass lensed raybans but glassed lensed mau jims should be the best of the lot but at £260 per pair I did not want to try any on.

Hope this helps but try to find an Oakley shop, or store.

Found one in Key West a couple of years or so ago, got some black and titanium A Wires, I think they're called.

Fantastic value, probably paid about £80 or so?

Wouldn't buy them from here at all, am sure they were in the region of £250 or something ridiculous like that.

Like the old Armani styles and the new Ray Ban styles too.
