i bought a golf yesterday and the guy had some roof bars on it, it has some protective like film on each corner of the roof to protect the paint work, thay have been on there for 4 years and i cant shift em, any ideas on how i can get em off, they are ultra thin . cheers guys

Hair dryer, a little heat at a time to soften the adhesive. Go carefully and use as little heat as you need to soften it. You'll then need a solvent of some kind to remove the stickiness, but nothing to harsh or you'll damage the paint. I've used something called Goo-Gone in the past, I think I got it from Halfords but can't remember.
