To call it a stage invasion is something of an understatement. There was a virtual stampede once it started until the whole stage was filled with mud covered moshers. Miraculously though with gentle patient persuasion Iggy managed to singlehandedly persuade them all to return again and then carry on with his set until the end. Genius! Oh, and the Stooges can play a bit too. I've never heard such sustained power and pace from a three piece made up of people who should have retired years ago.

Been a stooges fan for ages -- was expecting to hear something from Raw Power last night but still, quite happy that they played almost everything from the first two albums.
Pretty much convinced that's a rug Ron Asheton is wearing! On Jonathon Ross on Friday it looked very dodgy

He was wearing a suspiciously clean pair of wellies too. Never trust a man with clean wellies – especially at Glastonbury.
Their bass player was pretty damn scary too even before he got coved in mud and puke - 'muthafukin' Mike Watt as Iggy introduced him.
He got even more scary when he began humping his bass stack!

that was good wasnt it.
Anyone see the 2 acoustic guitar act on the world stage? latin american spanish guitar stuff, played some popular tunes with good guitar intros like metallicas enter the sandman, led zepplins stairway to heaven then did the best pink floyd tune, wish you were here The whole audience sang the song, was fabulous, always seems to happen with that song

I missed Iggy Pop, it was SO over crowded this year, that you couldnt get anywhere near the other stage (or the Pyramid, depending which way you were trying to go). I ended up watching The Killers from the top of the Pyramid field. Im hoping top see Iggy on BBC3.....
