Place to meet for chat in GUILDFORD
I know there are a few Guildford people who lurk here
So my sister is coming down from 'oop North for a conference in Guildford and has suggested that we meet for a lunchtime chat/catch up one day next week.
So suggestions please. Nothing fancy - may be a not-too-crowded wine bar which does reasonable sarnies or whatever.
I know Guildford reasonably so was going to suggest meeting outside the Yvonne Arnard and walking into town but don't know the latest bars/restaurants. TIA, d

These may help, although please note they are in no ascending order:
>A pub
>A church
>A house
>A village hall
>A coffee shop
>Some park swings
>A car park (either on foot or in a car)
>A local sports event
>A cafe
>A masonic lodge
All of the above places are good places to meet for a chat. You can also negate the need to meet by using a "telephone", or "personal computer" if you so wish.

Weyside is nice in the garden next to the river if its a nice day - just 2 secs from the Yvonne Arnaud too.
Otherwise avoid all the tacky sh!te around bridge street and head up the back round the castle a few nice places round there.
