Smile Recommended stuff for cleaning white wall tyres?

Any ideas out there folks???

A friend of mine has just bought an 07 Vespa PX125 and the front tyre is covered in brake dust.
We've tried the jetwash (notr a good idea apparently) and scrubbing with fairy and a stiff brush. Neither had much of an effect.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Cheers

Hi CSF,

"Trick of the Trade"

When I used work at a dealership selling Rolls Royce and Bentley we used to use Brillo pads to clean the white walls. Make sure you wear gloves though or you will end up with sore hands.

If the tyre on the Vespa is made in the same way as the Avon Turbospeed whitewalls the rubber strip is white and not painted on, so there is no danger of rubbing the white off.

Regards,

Robin
