Phone tarrif question
Has any one gone onto a tarrif through dialaphone (or any other company offering the same type of deal) where you get cash back after 6 months as a way of paying half line rental?
I phoned o2 up today to try and get a better deal from them and used dialaphone as leverage and the o2 advisor said that she had been told the redemption offers were not all they seemed. People had not been getting the cash back because of small print etc.
Any comments welcomed
Thanks
The heading should read Tarrif - not Tariff

Yes, I'm on an 18 month cashback tariff from Mobiles.co.uk.
You have to send off your bill at regular (different ) intervals to claim the cashback, IIRC mine was 6th month, 9th month 15th month, 18th month.
The first one at 6 months, they rejected as I sent in the wrong bill, I sent the 7th bill rather than the 6th bill as I cocked up which one to send when I wrote it on the calendar. Result, £85 lost.
They also have time limits, you have to claim within 14 days (or similar) of the date on your statement or again, you get nothing.
TBH it's a pain in the *** unless you're super-organised and **** about everything. Next time I'm just going to find a decent cheap tariff and not go near cashbacks again with a bargepole.
I'm sure some people are happy with them though.

I have a dial-a-phone contract as the missus needed a new phone and I wanted a PSP so I went for a free phone with a £30 a month tarrif on O2 and free PSP. Apart from the stock problems with the PSP (Got it 2 weeks later than stated) I have had no probs at all. 18 month contract expires next month so will be looking for a new deal.

You're right!! I even ballsed it up then!!
I don't know whether to go for it or not?
Does any one think that o2 would offer the same deal but with out doing it the cash back way - just paying £15 a month and get 400 mins talking and 500 texts if I told them I was going to go to Dialaphone?

I'm on a 12 month contract with buymobilephones.net - I have to send in my bills every 4 months and they refund the line rental in full, plus I got a free phone (which went straight on Ebay) at the beginning of the contract.
The bills have to be in within 14 days of the last bill date - easy enough if you're organised - and they send the money out about 2 months later. So, it takes a long time but does eventually arrive. I've had two out of the three refunds back so far without a hitch, and I'm due to send off my last bill soon.
