Aye, its sucks....allergies change through your life.

Try taking some organic honey from around your local area. Eat it a coulple of times a week especially from January on. This should contain local pollen, and if you take it throughout the year (it won't help you this season I am afraid) it should reduce your symptoms for next year. I am doing that and it is working well for me, better than any tablet ever has (so far).

For the first year of my life I am actually OK.

For years I have needed injections, tablets, drops, and still suffered. I have only been irritated twice this year, once needing to use a basic eye drop. Nose has run a little, but nothing serious. First year I have used this honey idea, seems to work

Same here.. for some reason this year (touch wood) I've been ok, usually by this time of the year I'm popping pills, snorting stuff and have real watery eyes!

NB. And I'm not describing a usual Friday night out at the club!

I have it quite bad at the mo.

Just started using "Loratadine" tablets, which come in a pack of 30 I reccomend going to chemists and asking for it

...far cheaper than the likes of Claratyn or other brand allergy tablets where you only get 5 in a box working out at almost £1 a tablet - plus they use the exact same active ingredient

Usually use the New Era stuff (500 tablets in a tube), but at the mo it just isn't enough

I was bad in april - but I put that down to the fact that the rape and tree pollen all came at the same time here..

Not so bad now..

luckily i've grown out of the bad bits, summer as a kid/teen was a fookin nightmare

it is bad this year though, know a few people that are getting minor symptoms that have never suffered before.
i use cetrizine from the doctors on prescription, if nothing else it saves a fortune on the over counter stuff!

*Jaime*, don't take the pills unless you really have to. I never suffered either when I was younger, but when I 1st did, I followed their '1 a day' instructions. It didn't seem to help, it got to the point where I was really struggling.

I've found that taking 1, suffering for a couple of days, then taking another has helped. Then increase the time between them. I now take one every couple of weeks when its to much.

Its taken a few years mind, but I believe its helped build up my natural defences against it.

(I'm no doctor BTW, but thats what has worked for me )

Go to docs. They will prolly give you pills. If they don't work, it's a needle in the **** job, but one injection should see you through the season.

Never heard that before, I don't suffer unless it's a really really high count but even then it's not too bad, thankfully.

My friend gets it bad and I'm going to tell her about this tip
