Default HD Hell

Ok guys - think its time to start seeing what all this HD malarky is all about and splash out one a nice big-assed TV and PS3

What should i look for on HD TVs - makes/websites to buy from

HDMI, DVI etc etc

Want to use it as the main TV for living room

Taaa!

AV Forums Home you'll get your answer there, or pick up a panasonic viera from John Lewis you cant go wrong there.

I'll be getting a Samsungs 50 inch tv from John Lewis.. they give tthe 5 year gaurantee as standard and will price match. Definately worth getting it from there... but mosey on to AV Forums as suggested.
Make sure the tv has 1080p resolution.
Take some dvds you are familiar with to watch at a showroom if you can - nothing dodgy though Star Wars is good as there is a lot of movement, deep blacks and bright colours.
You ll get all that from AV Forums though
