Default Can you cook chicken straight from frozen?

Basically can you put it straight out the freezer into an overnight slow cooking casserole pot?

you would be able to in a slow cooker/cassarole as the meat would defrost fully as it cooks and also tends to break apart. If possible some deforosting time is still useful (if you have a fan oven put it in there with just the fan on - this defrosts meat quite quickly)

The big no no in frozen chicken is frying/roasting as the outside of the meat cooks rapidly before the inside is defrosted. Don't let the bottom fall out of your world get EC147 and let the world fall out of your bottom.

Let me clarify, i'm on about 4 chicken breasts in a casserole.

According to Google (being a r'tard) it says you should slow defrost whole chickens before cooking, but breasts are best done from frozen as microwave defrosting ruins the flavour.

Personally i'd rather take advice from here because, call me a fool maybe, but when it comes to food Scoobynet gives good sensible advice (mostly).

thanks
Paul.
