good looking beast from the front, but the sides let it down as you cant see the back from the front, it kinda pines off into the distance. parkings fun. like driving a range rover, or maybe i need to adjust the seating position

Ahh passats, if you indicate whilst braking, people behind get all confused as to why your braking and slowing down for no apparent reason...as the intensity of the LED brakes lights surrounding the indicators make it impossible to see them flashing - bad design. So, mirror signal, THEN maneuver

sod it il just turn irratically and hope for the best, i got 6 airbags and the missus to protect me. to be honest in all fairness, the build quality is excellent. handlings ok, but the front wheels like spinning on corners.

the power delievery is totally different to the scoob too. more controlled but lots and lots of torque to play with.

lol it took me jase and chris at scoobybits 20 mins to start it yesterday. no key, just a lump of aluminuim you put into a start socket. but we didnt realise you need the clutch in before it does out.

i nearly rung up the hire car place too as i didnt know where the handbrake was. it has a parking button you press when the brakes on!! then to release it, you press it again when pressure on the brake is commited again. bloody daft but loads of fun.

A new Passat? Result! When my Impreza was off the road for SIX WEEKS due to the incompetence of the recommended repairer, I was given a three year old Nissan Almera 1.4.....

However, it did take all the pressure out of parking, and reversing onto main roads became a lot easier.....

Ah the joys of better-than-expected hirecars!! New Passat interior looks pretty impressive - do the new ones still have all the blue back lighting on the dash?

I'm hoping for similar luck next week - my A4 is getting repaired (on the 3rd partys insurance) after someone clipped it at work, so should hopefully be getting at least another A4, but here's hoping for an A6 or something
