Red face

Been having problems with this game. Every time I load the game, my PC crashes within 5sec on the main menu!

Spec
Athlon CPU
Win2K SP2 OS
Latest Nvidia driver for GF3 23.11
Latest VIA chipset drivers 4 something
Sound blaster live
Abit KT7A RIAD MB

No other game crashes apart from Commache4 The intro runs fine it just when I get to the main menu the game freezes Is anyone else experiencing this??

Cheers

rr

also check to see if your desktop resolution is the same as the games. if you cant get that far, turn your desktop down to 640*480 just to see if it runs ok, then work your way back up.

I had the very same with Max Payne - downloaded the latest virus update from Dr Solomons web site and found a nasty virus lurking in the machine.....

Since removing it I've had no crashes at all.....

might help....

Unhappy

Apparently the latest GF drivers 23.11 are poo. Somthing to do with forcing the way memory is addressed and W2K,XP not liking it.
VIA motherboard chipset's seem to be more prone to this.
