Default Who likes spiders?

Just been working to extend the car-parking space here. I moved a concrete slab (flagstone) that has been leant against the wall behind the house for three years, and there was a HUMUNGOUS spider on it. I just brushed it off, and the stupid thing ran AT me, then straight up my trouser leg

Now I'm not scared of spiders, but that was too much: I defo DON'T want one around my nads! Especially THAT size

My wife said she'd not seen me drop my kecks so quickly in years

****! I would have died on the spot, I hate the little blighters.

Many years ago a guy I worked with picked up on my little phobia and decided to bring his tarantula into work in a glass box. I was bricking it all day but put on a brave face and went up close to look at it. He was unhappy not to get one over on me, but it did help my phobia quite a bit.

I now let my 10 year old daughter remove the bigger ones that appear in the house

I'm shuddering at the very thought. I know spiders are harmless (well most of them) but they scare me! I blame Arachnophobia (the film as well as the condition).

not all r harmless bros some have toxic stings as the black widow does

but the ones in the petshop r fine

i had a fascination aboot spiders since i woz a kid if u read the quran and the parable of how the enemies of muslims r like a spider and if u study it and how it traps it prey over webs and how everything is connected tae its web thats always attached tae its body, a lil bit of shudder it knows somethings came on the web etc

a bit like george w bushs star wars project and if u look at the UN symbol lol a spiders web all over the world

spiders r cool and also u know the story of how God inspired the spider tae create a barrier in the cave between the enemies of the prophet pbuh and aby bakr Allah swt bless him
so the enemies thought no one he can be in the cave, the web looks old and stuff

so spiders r awesome and dont forget spiderman, we luv him

this woz over 1400 yrs ago and its amazing when u study it

41. The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the spider's house;- if they but knew.

taking protecters as in enemies tae protect u and whit dae they dae, they build their nests in yer country and bleed it dry and control yer country as in imperialism

Alcazar - thats funny when its not ME. Lol!!

I hate spiders - they bite me. It really stings at the time and itches for days after. So its NOT an irrational fear.

Not bothered about house spiders. I never kill them or remove them from the house because they kill more unpleasant creatures.

You can keep bloody great big tarantulas etc though. Having them as a pet is beyond my comprehension.

I like spiders, valuable source of spider energy, sprint, sprint, sprint pause, sprint, sprint, sprint pause etc.

Proportionately their 0-60 is awesome.

I am currently developing a spider energy farm (with secondary silk production).

Unfortunately they keep getting their legs stuck in the treadmills.......

I really can not stand spiders at all. Gav thought he would be a funny bugger one time and tried to scare me and I ended up collapsing!!! I was in his room and didn't see it myself because I was facing the other way, anyway he said calmly 'Carla, just walk out of the room and don't turn around' so me being curious turned around and I saw the biggest spider I think I've ever seen!! So I freaked out and ran down the stairs, he then walks down the stairs with his hands cupped so I start screaming don't bring it near me so he thinks it would be funny to pretend to throw it at me, I hyperventilated(sp!?), had a panic attack and collapsed!! He felt so guilty don't think he'll be trying that one again!!!

Ah yes, play on the wife's fears. Been there, done that, paid the penalty.

When we'd only been married three months I crept along the corridor in the flat we had, towards the bathroom where she was brushing her teeth.
I laid on the floor with my head on the floor looking up at her. My body was in the relatively dark corridor.

She turned round, saw what she thought was my severed head, and literally had hysterics. Took me half an hour to get her calm. THEN she had two nightmares that night!

Never again.
