Car towed away, robbing gits
Hi guys,
My sister got her car towed last night, for parking somewhere she shouldn't have (private car park)
Any way, she parked up at 8:00pm, came back at 10:30 and it had gone, fair enough I guess.
Now she's been to collect it this morning after ringing the police last night as at first she thought it'd been nicked, and the cheeky b******ds have charged £250 for the privelege of getting it back, now I don't know about you but I think this is a tad excessive to put it mildly, considering when we used to get cars removed form the motorway it was only £105
Do you think there's anything that can be done about it?
Steve

In short, your screwed (probably).
Take a look at pepipoo.co.uk under parking. There are rules that the firm who towed the car have to comply with. If they have, then you have to pay.
I think the most important rule is that there has to be adequate signage, and lighting for those signs. Have a look and see.
