Default Car towed away, robbing gits

Hi guys,

My sister got her car towed last night, for parking somewhere she shouldn't have (private car park)

Any way, she parked up at 8:00pm, came back at 10:30 and it had gone, fair enough I guess.

Now she's been to collect it this morning after ringing the police last night as at first she thought it'd been nicked, and the cheeky b******ds have charged £250 for the privelege of getting it back, now I don't know about you but I think this is a tad excessive to put it mildly, considering when we used to get cars removed form the motorway it was only £105

Do you think there's anything that can be done about it?

Steve

In short, your screwed (probably).

Take a look at pepipoo.co.uk under parking. There are rules that the firm who towed the car have to comply with. If they have, then you have to pay.

I think the most important rule is that there has to be adequate signage, and lighting for those signs. Have a look and see.

if someone had removed the signs before your sister parked there then you would have a good case

I suppose the real thing is to learn the lesson. They are out to screw you for as much cash as possible these days if you put yourself in that kind of position.

Any particular reason she parked where she shouldn't have in the first place.....

You know where I'm going with this.
