Croquet sets - where from on the high street?
I need to try and find a croquet set upto about £50 for a present. Its only for home use and not club play. John Lewis sets start from £300!!! Argos do a set for £19.99 but the mallets are only 24" so not much use to someone who is 6'7" Anyone know of any sports shops that sell croquet sets that I can go and buy from, online is no good to me as I need to get it by tomorrow morning at the latest.
Oh and i've been calling my local sports shops before anyone says just phone them and they don't sell croquet sets.

Cheers David, just got off the phone from them as they are local themselves. However their sets are very expensive, with intermediate set starting at £189 and the kids set (too small for adults) is £60!
Looks like croquet is an expensive hobby/sport, I saw one set at £3.5k! I only wanted something for my parents to have to knock about in the garden with, not some competition winning kit

Don't know about being expensive, but it sure is ghey.
Just get a few wooden mallets, broom handles, gaffer tape, *****, bent coat hangers, etc. and make your own. Parents love stuff like that. It's the thought that counts

'So much time'?
I can guarantee you that in the time it takes you to compose one of your dreary diatribes I can (and most probably will ) register several new usernames.
My challenge to you is to get off your fat **** and actually DO something about that which you complain. I don't want to see 'I can't/they won't/it doesn't ' any more. I want to see 'I took the travelling tinker by the scruff and told him I would be taking one of his hand carved croquet sets for the princely sum of £5'.
The gauntlet has been cast!

Dreary diatribes? You really should take a closer look at the utter sh!te you type. What a pathetic life you must lead continually creating new usernames just so you can post sh!te after sh!te on SN and keep getting banned. You obviously have some sort of attention defecit dissorder to keep coming back for more. I suggest a trip to see a psychiatrist *may* be able to help you but remember some cases are beyond help and you certainly seem one of them.

Well it's obvious you are willing to push yourself to the very extent of your abilities in order to try and get one over on me, (everyone loves a trier ) so why don't you put some effort into sorting the tedious clutter that are your 'problems' before you submit them on here for our perusal?
Let's take the psychiatrist crack for starters... you are willing to get up on your soap box on here and gob off that I am not in charge of my mental faculties yet you are unwilling to tell a pair of druggy pot heads to **** off when they tried to score on your doorstep?
For god's sake man, live up to your username and grow some b0llocks!
By the way... I would have thought it obvious that I can run rings around head shrinks. In fact those who actually have a meaningful education should know that a psychology degree is one of the better known cop-outs. If there are any psychologists on here I would love to converse with you.
