Default Need some info from a Virgin Media engineer.

Is it possible to get a list of numbers that called a Virgin Media telephone on a specific date?

How and who do I go to with this sort of request?

Now the story behind the request?

My in-laws 19 year old cat went missing just over a week ago, someone left a voicemail on their phone after seeing a poster that had been put up but my mother in-law pressed the wrong button and deleted the message instead of saving it, 1471 is no good because there had been a call from another phone since the voicemail was left.

My mother in-law has called Virgin Media twice about this but each time the call starts of very positive but ends up with a “no we can’t do it”. I believe it is an authorisation problem rather than a technical one so I am hoping that if we can find the right person to speak to we can get it sorted.

I'm guessing this one is no good or you'd have got it already but our Panasonic cordless phones have an inbuilt caller list function where you can scroll back the last 20 callers on the screen.

Might be worth checking if the phone has a display of some sorts?

Edited to say - you might also want to post on Cable Forum - they have some Virgin tech staff who post there so might be able to give you a good idea.

Thanks guys, I will try the digital spy forum, strangely enough I signed up to it last Thursday but for a totally unrelated reason.

The phone does not store incoming numbers because caller display is not enabled on the line.

Probably a data protection act issue. You may need police auth for them to release the info.
