Well it used to be £180 so I'm guessing it's an outdated model they're wanting to get shot off.
Wondering if you can load camera locations on it.

I've got an old Navman - it does take forever to pick up the satellites initially, especially if you've moved the units location without it being switched on.
Having seen friends tomtoms i'd spend the extra and get a Tomtom One.

My local ASDA is also doing the Viamichelin X-950 (UK/IRL) for £109, that apparently you can add POI (camera locations, postcode search etc).
I'm tempted into getting one even though I don't really need one as I very rarely go anywhere new..
Make you wonder what's next now these are getting so cheap..? Does anyone know of any new sat nav technologies on the horizon..?

I think it's more that it was a luxury and is now sold more as a necessity, plus more competition means lower prices. Digitising maps the first time costs a fortune, updating the database not so much.
A new technology is Galileo (EU's version) but best not to ask anyone British about that

My mate has a Navman and as already mentioned when it is first turned on it takes a while to find a signal.

I bought a TomTom Classic a few years ago, it was the best gadget spend for me to date, used far more than I ever expected, and still in use by my dad - and I borrow it when I go home.
I'd stick with a TomTom over the others I've seen, its really about how much you are prepared to spend - I spent £400 on the TT Classic!
EDIT: http://www.globalpositioningsystems....scription.html have the TomTom One (v2) for just under £160 - which seems like a good deal!
