I just got home from a few days overseas and whilst going through the mail I discovered a V5 document sent by DVLA for a car I don't own, registered to my correct postal address, but with a name which isn't me.

It's a 56 reg Smart Roadster, not my thing at all.

Is this likely to be some kind of scam, or just a DVLA screw up?

I'll give DVLA a call later but I thought I'd see if anyone here had any thoughts first.

Someone down the road got one and just got address wrong ? but yes deffo ring DVLA as possible

Probably a DVLA mistake.

The last two V5C's I have had through the post have been riddled with mistakes.

Like they would accept a form from any of us with loads of errors on it!
