The UK Statute Law Database
Maybe i am missing something, but we are not even a quarter of the way through 2007, and our wonderful government has passed 661 new pieces of legislation that we have to abide by (note, the number in the search is bound to increase following the original post).
There are probably a bunch more from Europe that we have even less control over?
Still, i guess that explains where our hard-earned taxes are being well and truly wasted

Absolutely - I mean amendments to the fishing permit availability on the Tweed and the changes to the licensing of 'fishing engines' in the Foyle area are really going to repress us all.

They really do go overboard with some of that stuff..... quote from railway safety regulations
" “stop signal” means a signal conveying to the driver of the train an instruction that he should stop."
Someone actually got paid several pence to type that up

...well there are now another 17 more in less than 24 hours
That should keep a few dozen more civil servants and publicly funded administrators in a job for life
Repression or national bankruptcy - either way, the tax payer loses out

Wonder what it will be like when Billy Boy signs us over to the new Eu constitution being proposed by that German leader without holding the referendum that he promised us thus losing our sovereignty completely, and then later he becomes the president of the Eu which will be changed to a permanent post!
