PS2 driving games, Why are they sh1te?
#1
The only decent driving games I have come across are GT3 and apparently GTA3. Why are sony (or whoever designs these games)wasting the power of this machine? I was hoping that WRC was going to be excellent but it appears to be cr*p , burnout, supercar thingy, that rally africa game, lotus challenge all look like games that could easily be for PS1 if not a bloody gameboy I just hope someone brings out some decent games soon that are up to the standard of GT3. Anyone know if there's another driver on colin mcrae rally comming for PS2?

Machine is overly-complicated to design and program for, resulting long development times, increased chance of going over-budget and more difficult to finish within dealine.
Result ? A lot of games not having the polish they should have, as they're rushed out for XMas, etc... WRC included I assume falls into this category, if the comments on the handling, and the 'floating cars' are anything to go by.
Nintendo learned this lesson with the N64, and their new console, is a dream to develope/program for.
X-Box is basically a bloody PC, so thats a doddle to develope for, but on the downside it means every duffer will be writing for it, so it'll be 90% crap, much the same as the PC.
