Caught on a lights camera
A mate of mine (serioulsy!) has been caught on a traffic light camera in Bristol.
Luckily traffic light cameras only take your pic from behind.
Any suggestions of how you could get out of this?.
Serious answers only please.
And yes he has recieved the NIP.
Can he pin it on someone with a foreign driving licence?. We have plenty of eastern blockers at work.

Just an idea
How about he holds up his hands, admits he did it, and doesn't do it again

thanks guys, it was partly to do with the old farts in front that took so long to go that when they did the lights were starting to change, by which point the camera got him.
didnt do it intentionally just a hassle for something that was not really his fault, we have all come close to i am sure on the lights camera.

i am just the seeker of information. if he wants to argue it thats up to him.
just thought with all the people on here that somebody might be able to suggest something.
i would just be annoyed and pay it if it was me.

If my mate asked me how to get off from a NIP for jumping a red light I would tell him to "fork off, grow up and pay up"...
None of my mates would be such cowardly pathetic creatures as to ask in the first place though...
Show your mate this thread and he will see the general concenus towards NIP dodgers. It's actually quite refreshing to see

Had a guy jump a red at a tee-junction that I was going through on green the other day. Pulled up beside him and wound the window down and *remonstrated* with him about it. ' Not me mate - I never jump red lights' ... Oh, I must have been mistaken then. Must have been a green light facing two sets of traffic then ...... ar5eh0le!!
Get your mate to pay up. They don't go off until several seconds (not sure how many) after the light has gone red so he was taking the mick!

Get your mate to look a pepipoo.com. The Pace witness statement would be his best form of defence. DONT let him nominate a foreign driver, knowing full well that he/she wasnt the driver. This is called perverting the course of justice and can end up with a prison sentence.
A relative has recently defeated an alleged redlight offence, with the Pace witness statement . The time was significantly less than a second after turning red.
