I forgot to collect a letter from the post office
I have the "tried to deliver" note still, however it was back in October Found it in the boot yesterday and only remembered then.
Dont have the details of who sent it, its a postal order, do i have any hopes?

Faint yes. 'cos if it was recorded (signed for) it will have sender's address and willl be returned to sender who may try again if it was important. Or think you have moved so won't bother
May be someone will know if PO keep a record of returned to sender items. You could ask.

I work for the post office and they keep recorded items for one week and standard items for 2 weeks if i remember correctly. They then return them back to the sender, or if there isnt a return address im pretty sure they destroy it
