anybody ever had this happen?

I was playing Project Gotham Racing today and it suddenly popped up that "the disk needed cleaned" when i actually examined the disk there was a crack about 1.5cm long on it from the centre!

Now the question I have is will this be covered by warranty or should i just say "tuff ****!" and buy a new copy?

PS this is the third thing to go wrong in the past week and a half, First my Central Heating Boiler, then my Oil tank was leaking now this DAMN my luck!

Weve got a cracked disc, i put it down to carelessness, but maybe it was the 360?

could have been carelessness to be honest, but i dont think it was! Never had this problem with the Nintendo Cartridges

I had a CD-R crack in half while it was in the PC once, it scared the crap out of me as it made a hell of a noise!

I assumed it was just a manufacturing defect, it must happen occasionally...

Many years ago I had a game disc replaced for a small admin fee, the media is only a small part of the price you paid, call the game manufacturer and ask if they have a broken media policy.

Did you move the console from horizontal to vertical or vice versa with the game in the drive ?
