OCX embedded objects....

Yeah. There are a series of IPersist interfaces. I think IPersistStream may be deprecated and replaced with IPersistStreamInit.
You should get a call on that interface. I guess the question was about how you were creating the object - if you are using MFC then there is a wrapper around all the OLE gunge. In which case COleControl:: DoPropExchange() would appear to be the chap.
Good luck.

Ok... If you dont know vc++ run away quick b4 u fall asleep...
I'm trying to embed a ole control (that has to be made by me) into a rich edit control and I can't find out what function the richedit calls to serialize the data before its streamed by the richedit stream callback.
i.e. I wana be able to save & load my embeded object. I've searched for ages now and my brain has finaly melted outa my ears :/
Thanks in advance

Nope I havn't I'll look into that.. thanks. I found references to IStream but wasn't sure if that was the correct area.
To clarify I was wondering what function / interface would get called to marshall the data of a embedded object so I can implement my own object that will get loaded and saved.
