Default Going to get a snooper at lunch - a little help needed :D

'lo peeps,

As I want to look after my license and it is far too easy to be breaking the speed limit in the blink of an eye, I thought I would furnish myself with a snooper.

However, there are many kinds out there - many makes.... I want something that is going to pick up laser and (if possible) mobile cameras, etc etc...

Can anyone advise please?

Ta,

Andy

Ignoring the muppets who obviously need to get some sort of life, i opted for a road angel.
Picks up most if not all types of revenue machines so long as you subscribe and do the regular updates. Its easy to use and seems reliable.

So does the road angel also pick up laser and speed guns?

They should do, but there's a bit of a problem in that chances are by the time you've detected the laser, you've already been zapped.

Road Angel and Snooper S2 both pick up Lasers (although the use of this is debatable for a whole bundle of reasons - and thats from someone who thinks they've been possibly saved from a laser by a detector). Not much other than a very high end radar detector will pick up handheld guns, and the police don't tend to use them in much 60 & 70 limits anyhow (in my experience).

But I have a Snooper S2 and a TomTom with camera updates; both GPS systems, so some duplication but occassionally one will pick up something the other has missed.

as TonyG says, usually by the time laser has been detected you have already been hit. You could *AHEM* get an automatic garage opener fitted which *COUGH* appears to scramble the signal

I have a road angle and also use Tomtom on my phone for camera sights.

The laser dectector are not worth having, By the time it's picked up a signal and warned you, you've already been had.

Laser Jammers/Defussers are also very good.
But they are getting wise with these. They are now recording all cars that show an Error message on the laser gun on a database. A Couple of times on the database and you might be having a knock on the door to remove your car for inspection!!!!

Saying that there is a new Parking sensor that also happens to jam Lasers completly legal and you've got a valid excuse for having it on the car

Ive got one and no.

I have had mine since Christmas and since then never been tracked by a lazer/radar gun.

Very good piece of kit though - I like the fact that you can adjust all the settings for volume/distance levels etc and you can now buy them for £200 on 'tinternet.

Thx peeps

I opted for the Road Angel compact that I got with a Laser Detector bolt on bit cos it seems Tony B is gonna ban the laser detector side of these. This way I can just unplug it and all legal again
