Default International Womens Day?
Heard about this at work today, apparently they're arranging some sort of social thing for all the women at work to celebrate

According to Google 'Celebrated on 8 March, International Women's Day (IWD) is the global day connecting all women around the world and inspiring them to achieve their full potential. IWD celebrates the collective power of women past, present and future ... '

I don't get it, it seems a bit patronising to me oh lets celebrate that we're women and can actually do stuff with our lives and be successful

Am i missing something with this or does it seem ridiculous to anyone else, i can't remember ever hearing of national bl00dy mens day

Of course there's no problem at all having an international mens day - but it would need someone to organise it. And that would mean multitasking - and that probably explains why there's only an international womans day.
