I'm off doing the Scumball 3000 (Scumball 3000 - Welcome to Scumball 3000) in a couple of months (a couple of other lads from SN are doing it too), it's been recommended by the organisers that we equip ourselves with CB radios. Does anyone here know anything about them? I had some walk-talkies when I was a boy, but other than that know nothing about the subject. Can I buy a standard CB and expect it to work with others? Or do I need to get special crystals (like RC cars) or summat?

Have been recommended the idiots paradise, fleabay, to pick up some radio gear.... Not bothered if it's new or 2nd hand, but want something I know will work!
